VERBUNDX Innovation Corner at the Vienna Museum of Science and Technology

Through the Innovation Corner, the TMW offers Austrian startups and innovators a platform for forward-looking technologies. Presentations, which change every six months, showcase current research projects and a wide range of innovative sectors, highlighting the wealth of ideas within Austrian companies. In collaboration with VERBUND, the Innovation Corner’s new partner at the TMW, the initiative demonstrates the innovative projects being developed in partnership with start-ups, amongst others.

POWER ON! The future of power generation

In the first joint presentation, visitors to the TMW will gain exclusive insights into how the future of electricity generation is already becoming a reality today: eight projects showcase Austria’s innovative strength in the field of sustainable electricity generation. They present innovative solutions that are paving the way for a green energy future.

Visitors can discover a nervous system for wind turbines and underwater robots designed to improve the maintenance of hydroelectric power stations, as well as autonomous drones for monitoring critical infrastructure. They will learn what organic photovoltaics are, how digital twins of hydroelectric power stations can be used, and what 3D printers have to do with securing our energy supply.

The Innovation Corner showcase demonstrates, through eight innovative technologies, that the future of power generation has already begun.
